Serbs to President Joe Biden: "Novak Djokovic is not a security threat"
Source: TennisWorldUSA |
Tennisspeak- Due to the fact that Novak Djokovic does not have access to the United States at this time as a result of his immunization problem and the fact that he is required to obtain a green pass in order to enter the United States, he is unable to compete.
On the other hand, a proposal has emerged from Serbia with the intention of providing the matter with a decisive boost, with the end objective of enabling the three-time winner of the US Open to compete in Flushing Meadows.
An initiative spearheaded by Nebojsa Jovanovic, owner of a company that promotes professional tennis in Serbia. Jovanovic wrote a letter to Vice President Joe Biden, appealing to a particular legal clause in the 10294 presidential proclamations of national interest, under which foreign citizens would be granted an exemption and would therefore be able to enter the United States. Jovanovic's letter was included in the petition to allow foreign citizens to enter the country.
Jovanovic assures President Biden that Djokovic does not pose a threat to national security.

Given the current state of the economy and the crisis that is taking place on all levels, the United States ought to permit Novak Djokovic to compete in the event. The United States Open is the largest tennis tournament in the world, and it would not exist without Novak Djokovic.
He is one of the healthiest persons in the world as a result of his disciplined lifestyle, and he acts as a role model and inspiration to millions of people all over the world. He has won the competition three times, and he does not present any security risks.
If Joe Biden were thirty years younger (but still Vice President) a good headline might be "Biden' His Time"

In defense of the Serbian, among others, his coach Goran Ivanisevic, author of a fiery outburst on the subject: "I hope that the vaccination requirement will be removed everywhere." It is in the best interests of the United States of America that the greatest tournament in the world host the greatest player in the world, especially since he has just won his seventh Wimbledon tournament in London.
I have received the double dose, therefore I do not have any issues; but, I do not appreciate the atmosphere that has been developed over the course of the last two and a half years. If you have the misfortune to become infected, you will be treated as if you have scabies, and you will be isolated from everyone, which is something that makes me feel ashamed.
