  Nottingham Open: Shuai Zhang reaches last-eight Defeated Briston’s Jodie Burrage ; Magda Linette ousted Shuai Zhang defeated Briton’s Jodie Burrage to reach the quarter-finals of the Nottingham Open on Wednesday. The Chinese, seeded fourth, defeated the qualifier, 6-2, 7-6(4) in an hour and 23 minutes. Zhang won 67% of her first-serve points to Burrage’s 64% and 48% of her second-serve points to the latter’s 43%. In terms of break-point conversion, while Zhang saved two of the four break points she faced, she converted four of the six break points she had on Burrage’s serve. In the quarter-finals, Zhang will play Tereza Martincova. The Czech upset eighth seed Magda Linette in their second-round match, 6-2, 7-6(3) in an hour and 39 minutes. Martincova won almost 74% of her first-serve points to Linette’s 61% and almost 62% of her second-serve points to the latter’s 45%.
