Tennisspeak- On Friday, Nadal confirmed his participation in the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, admitting that he plans to return to the All England Club for the first time in three years to compete in the grass-court major.

Novak Djokovic became the latest addition to the competition just a day after Rafael Nadal declared that he would compete at the Hurlingham Club to prepare for the 2022 Wimbledon later this month. Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu are also expected to compete in the competition.

On Friday, Nadal confirmed his participation in the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, admitting that he plans to return to the All England Club for the first time in three years to compete in the grass-court major. Nadal said he'll play a few exhibition matches at Hurlingham Club in London in preparation for Wimbledon, which will be his first appearance on the court since capturing his 14th French Open title. The tournament will take place on June 25 and 26, with Wimbledon starting the next day.

Following the victory, Nadal had a pulse radiofrequency treatment for his longstanding foot problem, which had plagued him throughout the Roland Garros competition.

"I'm relieved; I haven't limped in a week." It has enabled me to train for five days, which is a significant achievement for me. It also permits me to fly to London, where I haven't played in three years and am looking forward to returning. On Friday, he stated, "I hope everything goes well."

Djokovic, the defending Wimbledon champion, will be making his debut appearance at the tournament and his first on-court appearance since losing to Nadal in the quarterfinals of the French Open last month.

Murray, a former Wimbledon champion, and Raducannu will join the two stalwarts on the court. Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, and Felix Auger-Aliassime are among the others.

Nadal last competed at Wimbledon in 2019, reaching the semi-finals for the second year in a row. After winning the Australian Open and the French Open, the Spaniard will be trying for the Calendar Slam for the first time in his career.

"My plan is to fly to London on Monday, play two matches, and then return to my normal routine to prepare for Wimbledon." That's all I have to say for now. In a press conference on Friday, he added, "I'm positive, happy with the feelings."
